TD Jakes spoke about this in his recent sermon about letting go of self -ish motives and investing in the lives of others. Investing in something other than self. In essence seeing life with a wider more humanistic lens. We tend to have become very preoccupied with a myopic view of self. Let's stop for a minute and think of small ways of caring. There are myriad ways of showing care and spreading the joy of the Lord. We can volunteer at a homeless shelter, mentor young people, take our children to visit seniors at a nursing home, smile at a stranger, pray for people other than friends and family, witness to a neighbor on the subway train, donate our time or money without expecting a return. The possibilities are endless.....Let's look outside of our beautiful selves for a moment and invest in something bigger than you and I. Let's care for each other on a whole other level.
Love and Blessings
