Every once in awhile we need to reclaim our place and reposition ourselves to receive and release God's love into the Universe. We are beautifully and wonderfully made - with so much to offer. Take a little time to Celebrate yourself and Surrender Your HeARt to all that is beautiful, powerful, creative and wonderful in your life here on earth. And Remember: Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. | It is our light not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented and fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There's nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, Our presence automatically liberates others. —Marianne Williamson |

Show me that you love me Show me that you walk with me.What is that sparkles and shines about Robin Roberts? One cannot really put a name on it , pin it, or place it. We just know that people the world over tune in to listen to her or see her infectious smile. It's a good start to your morning when Robin jump starts your day. So it was no small wonder I found myself crying over the passing of Robin's mom. I had never before met her or even seen her mom, but still her connection to Robin tugged at my heart and ushered me into a place of deep empathy. I'm sure we can all think of people like Robin who are like soothing fresh air, who tend to make you feel calm, hum a tune, smile inwardly - A few on my short list would be, Maya Angelou, Joel Osteen, Lady Di, Dr. Ruth, Mandela, Dale Bronner, you get the picture. You may never have met them in person but from a distance they look like a friend. Their spirit reaches out and connects with yours in 'un-nameable' ways. We can only hope that we come close to achieving this state of natural mystic. Our aim should be to possess or nurture that that 'IT' which makes us beautiful human beings with that incredible spark that emanates outside of our awareness and leaves an indelible mark of goodness on others every time they cross our path. Robin may your beautiful mom rest in peace. I know her work here on earth was well done because even as her unencumbered spirit rises to her maker, it yet remains in you and you with us inspiring us to greatness. Love and Blessings ZPora
I remember years ago I took a freshman Sociology course. The Professor, Dr. Saroj Chawla, framed her course with the notion of Caring. I remember thinking that it was a rather simplistic pedagogy for a University course. But as the years have gone by I've returned many times to reflect on what was actually her inherently post modern way of thinking. The Professor had clued into something that we have somehow lost sight of. We have lost that loving feeling for the Other.
TD Jakes spoke about this in his recent sermon about letting go of self -ish motives and investing in the lives of others. Investing in something other than self. In essence seeing life with a wider more humanistic lens. We tend to have become very preoccupied with a myopic view of self. Let's stop for a minute and think of small ways of caring. There are myriad ways of showing care and spreading the joy of the Lord. We can volunteer at a homeless shelter, mentor young people, take our children to visit seniors at a nursing home, smile at a stranger, pray for people other than friends and family, witness to a neighbor on the subway train, donate our time or money without expecting a return. The possibilities are endless.....Let's look outside of our beautiful selves for a moment and invest in something bigger than you and I. Let's care for each other on a whole other level. Love and Blessings ZPora So one of our summer projects is to work on this little organic garden in our backyard. So far we have had an abundance of tomatoes and these spicy jalapeno peppers. The tomatoes taste so divine. You could almost eat them whole just like a fruit (which technically it is but let's not start the debate here). Anyway we are truly enjoying these delicious garden produce and saving money too. Being amateur gardeners (my hubby claims he's an expert) we are both scratching our heads about why the tomatoes all have these cracks at the top. Would be happy to hear from the true gardening experts who could give us a good answer to this question. However I'll venture to say here that even as we ponder the little quirks of Mother Nature there is no question that Nature truly is the art of God. Love and Blessings ZPora Interesting little Tidbit about Tomatoes: A Tomato has four chambers and is red. The heart has four chambers and is red. Research shows tomatoes are loaded with lycopine and are indeed pure heart and
blood food. Read more here
